Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Still. Fog & Iron Labs LLC ("Fog and Iron") operates Still. Last updated September 21, 2026. By creating an account or using Still, you agree to them.
This is the operative terms of service for store listing and carrier review. It is not a substitute for advice from a lawyer in your jurisdiction.
The service
Still is a daily presence ritual. You tend a light and keep a private record. Still+ can send eligible notices to confirmed circle recipients through connected services. It is not a medical device, monitor, life-alert pendant, or emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Accounts
You must provide a real email you control or use another sign-in method shown in the app. You are responsible for the devices and sessions on the account. We may suspend or delete an account that is abusive, unlawful, or a risk to others. One person should not create accounts to evade a block or a billing dispute.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should know you are using Still. Still is not directed at children under 13. Do not put a child’s contact in your circle. Do not use Still to harass, stalk, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in notes, names, and the emergency card. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content only to run Still for you. We do not claim ownership of your writing. Private notes are not included in circle notices. If you initiate the optional companion, the information described in the privacy policy is processed to create that response.
Service ownership and license
Still and its software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by Fog & Iron Labs LLC or its licensors, excluding your content. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive right to use Still as intended while your access is authorized. Third-party and open-source components remain governed by their applicable licenses.
SMS program
Still+ may send transactional invitations, tests, missed-light notices, or consented check-ins by SMS. You must have permission before inviting a recipient, and the recipient must confirm before ordinary notices begin. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Still+ and payments
When live billing is active, Still+ is offered at the price and interval shown at checkout and renews until cancelled. The current listed prices are $4.99 monthly or $39.99 yearly. Stripe processes the card. You can manage or cancel from Still; access continues through the paid period unless law requires otherwise. Taxes may apply.
Deleting your account
You may delete your account at any time in the app: You → Delete this account. This deletion first attempts to cancel an active Still+ subscription. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, deletion stops. Completed deletion removes your light, private circle, notices, emergency card, and sign-in on this service and cannot be undone. Details are in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Do not probe, overload, or break the service. Do not scrape others’ circles. Do not send notices to people who did not consent. Do not use Still to provide licensed medical, legal, or emergency dispatch services.
No guarantee
Still is provided “as is.” Delivery can be delayed, fail, or be ignored, and Still does not arrange or guarantee welfare checks. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Still and Fog & Iron Labs LLC are not liable for missed welfare checks, delayed or failed notices, crisis outcomes, or anything you do or do not do after a light stays dark, or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for a claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Still+ in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars if you paid nothing.
Privacy
How we use information, including mobile numbers and payments, is in the privacy policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be posted here. Continued use after the update is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer law says otherwise. Courts in California may hear disputes, except where a mandatory consumer venue applies.
